Exploring Femininity and Nostalgia at Soho House Hong Kong

During Art Central 2026, the studio unveiled Reverie in Provence, a collaborative exhibition with Faustine Badrichani. In parallel, a simultaneous exhibition was presented at Soho House’s Green Room, which served as one of the central pillars of our broader art interventions across the building and the fair.

A Nostalgic Dialogue: South of France to Hong Kong

Rooted in childhood memories of the South of France, Reverie in Provence is an homage to femininity, nostalgia, and sun-soaked Mediterranean landscapes.

Bringing this concept to the Green Room allowed us to transform an intimate setting into an immersive visual narrative. The works staged in the space established a dialogue between tactile surface textures and Faustine’s graceful sculptural silhouettes, translating the warmth and light of Provence into a contemporary urban context.

The works paired heavy-textured surfaces with fluid feminine contours, balancing structure with softness. Positioned against the architectural backdrop of Soho House, the curated setup allowed visitors to experience the pieces up close in a quiet, dedicated environment, which brought together distinct mediums—sculpture, painting, and relief—to build a singular atmospheric experience.

This collaboration seamlessly blends two distinct artistic languages. Faustine’s minimalist approach and restrained palette emphasize the intimacy of the female form, rooted in her deep bond with the natural world. Elsa’s muralist experience and command in textures, brings a tactile, sensory depth to the work, utilizing her mastery of plaster and pigment to create a grounded, rhythmic energy.

Presented by Art Bridger, the project extended beyond the fair to the Soho House Hong Kong building in Sheung Wan, transforming the space into a cohesive dreamscape. Together, Badrichani and Jeandedieu invite the viewer to escape the constraints of reality and enter a world where memory and imagination flourish without bounds.
